This video shows that just like the chinensis, the barbadensis variety of Aloe vera can be propagated.

Can the Aloe vera barbadensis leaf propagate? Hi guys! Welcome to the Aloe vera garden. I have done several Aloe vera leaf propagation in   The past and posted them on the channel.
You can check them out if you have time. I have successfully done leaf propagation
for both whole leaves and leaf cuttings. I also posted a tutorial on how to do it. One essential thing to note is that
Aloe vera leaf can only be propagated   If it has a part of the stem or a stem tissue still attached to it. Aloe vera leaves will not propagate without it. The leaves will only rot in due time. Another thing to note is that the
Aloe vera leaves I used in all my   Propagation videos unless stated
are from the chinensis variety. I once tried to propagate the leaves of the
barbadensis variety, but it took a very long time.  I got impatient and uprooted the leaf,
only to find out that it had grown some roots. Somehow at the back of my mind, I know that the   Leaves of the Barbadensis variety can
be propagated based on my experience. Like what happened in the past when a
barbadensis plant rotted including the   Crown with only the outer leaves left, the plant
was left without a stem but a hole in the middle. When I carefully removed the leaves one by one, I
found out that pups started to grow on the side. So I planted the remaining plant and
a few weeks later pups have grown. Another instance is when I was cleaning the areas
where I placed the leaves of the rotting plants,   I found out that the leaves did grow
some roots. Although no pups have grown,   Had I left the leaves longer,  it might have grown pups. Lately, I saw these barbadensis leaves that
I place on this pot about three months ago   And now they are growing some pups. This means
it took three months for the leaves to propagate. I washed the leaves so that you can
see clearly that this is not fake.   I have received comments from my leaf
propagation videos that they are fake. You can see clearly where those fallen pups came from. If the Chinensis leaves can be
propagated in a couple of weeks,   Then the barbadensis might need way more than that. Because of this, I am more motivated to
make another leaf propagation video using   The Barbadensis variety. I only have to wait a
lot longer compared with the chinensis variety. I hope you learn something from this video.
This is danny and thank you for watching.
