If you are growing Aloe vera, you
may encounter two types of rotting;   The rotting of the leaves and the rotting of the roots. It is normal for the leaves of the aloe vera to
turn a little brown if they are placed in   Full sun during summer, but if the
leaves are thinning and curling,   Just like this plant, the
roots are most likely rotting. The plant is about to grow a flower, but
this flower will not fully bloom and will   Just die because the plant cannot
sustain it without root support. Root rot is a lot easier to
manage because, unlike leaf rot,   You can skip on saving the plant with rotting
roots. Given time, it will just recover on its own. But, if you want the plant to recover
faster, you have to cut the plant. The stem of this plant is healthy so
it will not take long for this plant   To grow lots of roots once it is planted back. I pulled the rest of the plant to
show what's left of its root system. This is supposed to be the rootball, but
nothing is left but a decayed underground stem. Though the plant has started to grow new roots,
they're not yet enough support itself. But,   Given time, had I not cut it,
it would have grown more roots enough   To sustain itself. The only problem
is that it will take a lot longer. What I normally do every time I
cut aloe vera with rotting roots,   I plant them back in smaller pots and wait
for them to grow roots and then repot them. Just like these two cuttings I
planted two months ago. I just placed some stones to support the
plant and the pot from falling over. The soil is already very dry, so I have to
water these Aloe vera plants after repotting. There are times when I just place
the cutting inside a bigger pot with   A little soil at the bottom. After a few
months, the pot is filled with cuttings. Some of these plants were placed a little later
so they have just started growing new roots. This is the plant that I cut earlier in the video. The pot I was using is too small for the plant
but I don't have space anymore for a bigger pot in   The garden. This will just serve as its temporary
pot while waiting for some space to be available. The plant has enough roots already so it
is okay to water the plant after planting. Aloe vera can grow well even in smaller pots as   Long as it has enough nutrients
for the plant to grow healthy. I hope you learn something, this is
danny and thank you for watching.
