Hi guys! Danny here, I was curious Which of the two aloe vera varieties Will root faster When  planted through cuttings So, I did an experiment  Using two Aloe vera chinensis and two barbadensis pups   In order to be fair, I did not use these two chinensis pups Because they are a bit older   Compared with the barbadensis And they might root faster than the younger ones   So I used chinensis pups that were similar
in age with the barbadensis pups Also, in order for me to confirm that older pups Root faster than younger pups, I kept the older ones True enough, after six days The older ones had grown roots already. While the younger ones, both barbadensis and chinensis Had no signs of roots coming out. Two weeks after they were cut, The roots of the older pups Did not grow much But just looked more mature And only one of the younger chinensis pups Had started to show signs of roots But the barbadensis variety had no signs of roots growing yet On the third week There was not much changes
that can be seen happening to all of the pups   So I decided to place all of them in the soil   The plastic that I used had no drainage holes  Because it was just for rooting purpose And to observe what will happen to the aloe vera
cuttings if they are placed in the soil I just placed the cuttings on top of the soil
and used some stones to support the plants   I did not include the older pups
because they have roots already In just a matter of two days, roots were
coming out and have grown significantly

These were the chinensis pups, as
you can see, they have longer roots And this was one of the barbadensis pups It has more roots and longer than all of them And this was the other barbadensis pup with shorter roots   Both the barbadensis and chinensis
varieties have grown roots just the same I will try this experiment again but I
will place the pups directly in the soil   And will not wait for weeks after cutting I will observe, which of the aloe vera variety   Will root faster that way I hope you learned something today And thank you for watching
